Spirit of Knowledge
Good Shepherd has cultivated a nurturing environment for students. This allows them to discover their potential and develop a lifelong love for learning.
A nationally recognized Four-Star School, Good Shepherd consistently performs in the top five percent of all elementary and middle schools in Indiana. Students are also encouraged to participate in our accelerated reader program and compete on a variety of academic teams, including speech, Math Bowl, Spell Bowl, Battle of the Books and Academic Bowl. We also encourage growth outside of the classroom through participation in athletics, and other extracurricular activities.
Having access to technology is also important to our students here at Good Shepherd. Technology in the classroom allows our dedicated professional educators to customize instruction for every student. Rich with Chromebooks and touch screen devices, students have resources to complete an array of educational activities. With the ability to research information, collaborate with peers, and practice specific skills on adaptive software, students are well-connected and positioned for enrichment that meets their needs.
Students will learn digital skills, ethics, etiquette, and online safety as part of our technology in integration program. Access to educational technology in schools can lead to students building greater independence, increased engagement in class, and developing skills required to thrive in society.
