Good Shepherd Academics

Good Shepherd Catholic School offers a balanced academic curriculum and provides a variety of learning experiences in health, instrumental music, language arts, mathematics, music, physical education, science, social studies, speech, foreign language, technology, and visual arts.  To meet the needs of all learners, teachers use various differentiated instructional strategies such as flexible grouping, tiered activities, audio books, and best practice strategies in language arts and math instruction.

Student Expectations

Teachers empower students to develop their individual responsibilities for their learning and behavior.  At the core of student behavior is the expectation of respect for themselves and others which is embodied in politeness and manners.  Good Shepherd Catholic School strives to instill a strong work ethic in its students.   Students are expected to actively participate in their education, seeking help when needed, collaborating with peers, and always working to their full potential.

Good Shepherd Catholic School is proud of the academic achievements that it has attained.   The Indiana Department of Education recognizes Good Shepherd as a 4 Star, A rated school based on performance on state standardized testing.

Grading Scale:

A = 94% – 100%

B = 85% – 93%

C = 77% – 84%

D = 70% – 76%

F =  0% – 69%
