Good Shepherd Student Support
A Message From Your Youth First Social Worker
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Hello! I’m Jenna Pauli, the Youth First social worker at Good Shepherd Catholic School. I have worked at Good Shepherd since the fall of 2024. What I love about school social work is the unique way it provides an invaluable link for our children between home, school, and community.
Our mission at Youth First is to strengthen youth and families through evidence-based programs that prevent substance abuse, promote healthy behaviors, and maximize student success. Common referrals for school social work services include depression, anxiety, anger, school behavior or academic concerns, and peer relationships. Youth First services are research-based and have demonstrated improved protective factors (coping skills, children’s hope, resiliency, mood management, etc.) and decreased problematic behaviors in students served.
At Youth First we are grateful for the collaboration between the Evansville Diocese schools, the Good Shepherd community, and Youth First. I look forward to partnering with you to help your student find success in and out of the classroom. I will do my best to meet the needs of each student referred to me. As I receive referrals, they are prioritized by level of need.
Many children and their families are dealing with potential stressors, and my role is to step in and provide the extra support needed to make sure those social, emotional and behavioral concerns don’t hinder their success in school and life. Services are confidential and free to the student/family. Students, parents, and faculty can contact me anytime they are concerned about the well-being of any child or teen. I can be reached at 812-476-4477, ext. 220 or at jpauli@youthfirstinc.org.
Sincerely,
Jenna Pauli, LCSW
